Great to be back

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't kept up with my blog, it has been a crazy time. Hubby in hospital and me with a broken ankle. Well everything is settling down now.

Whilst I have been away, I have done a few Elves and some painting of statues for one of my sisters. So I thought I would show you what I have been up to.

Tiny Tia
Tiny Tia has alfoil formed into a ball for her head and body and then covered with polymer clay. She is painted with Acrylics and sprayed with clear car varnish, her hair is made from feathers and then decorated with dimenties and I have used coloured pins for her little antena's.

Unfortunately I am still burning the ears on all of my Elves even though I am covering them with alfoil. Oh well, I just have to keep trying. Any tips would be very welcome.

                                                                   Mallerina
This is Mallerin, she's sort of, represents my eldest sister, who use to do gymnastics.

Mallerin is made from a wire armature, polymere clay, pillow stuffing (I can't remember the correct name for it).
I use Acrylic paints for her eyes, lips and toe/finger nails.  Her dress is made from lace and her leggins etc are ribbon, and her hair is made from feathers. I hope you like her.

I have done a few more Elves however I am having trouble downloading them. Hopefully I will be able to share them with you soon.

If anyone has any advise on a better way of doing the armatures please let me know.  Thanks for stopping by.

Hello Gina, Thank you for visiting my blog, and your lovely comments. I hope you will have a wonderfully creative year. The fairies and pixies you create are always so unique, and colorful! I sometimes wish I used more color..more vivid colors that is..but I guess I have a fear. Keep having that NO fear attitude..it's great! xoxo Christel
