"Wow" that was a long break!!!!!!

My goodness, it has been a long time since I have posted anything here. Please forgive me. However, it has been a very busy time in our lives. Going back to the mainland for hubby to have bone scans etc.

Hubby still has not recovered from the fall from the ladder, his back still has a broken bone.  Both my niece and great niece are finally safe from the nieces ex-partner. "YAY" no more bruises for them, "thank god."

 So back to craft.

The little guy on the left, is made of Polymer Clay over a wire armature, clothes are Ploymer clay and painted in Acrylics.

Then, I sealed it with, spray on, Clear Car Varnish. His hair is made from feathers.

He is sitting on an "Oyster Shell", which I painted in Acrylics and sprayed in the Clear, Car Varnish. I also attached half Pearl Beads over the shell and his Water Suit.

Next is a baby "Oysterling", he is made from Polymer Clay covering a wire armature and painted in Acrylics and sealed with spray on, Clear Car Varnish.

His hair is made from Feathers.

This little "Oysterling" is also sitting on an Oyster Shell, which I painted in Acrylics and sprayed in Clear Car Varnish and then attached the half cut Pearl Beads.

This little guy below was one of the first ones I did, but I kept putting of painting him. Then, some sweet little girl, thought she might like to play with him and broken his arm, and broken him off his stand.

I have managed to glue him back together, and because I have to either order or go to the mainland to buy my clay, I decided to continue on with him regardless, and just experiment with painting him.

He is lso made the same way as the other two "Oyterlings" above. However, his stand is the bottom of a wine glass, "waste not, want not" as the saying goes. I try to recycle as much as I can.

Well that's what I have been upto in the past couple of months, Please drop me a line or comment and tell me what you think of my little babies. And if you have any helpful hints, that would be fantastic.

My Email is tinypearl5758@bigpond.com

Take care until next time. xxx

Hey stranger welcome back to blogland!

I like your new work. Clever idea mounting them on sea shells!

I hope the docs sort out your husbands back problems soon!

Thanks Brian, Robert is slowly getting better. He just needs to be very careful.

I have wanted to do something with the Oyster Shells from where we live. I'm not sure its the right path but at least it's a start.

I have however, finally finished using the clay that kept cracking.

Lets see if I can create something worthwhile. xxx
